A dynamic live event where talented artists create original visual art pieces in real-time, engaging the audience through the creative process. Attendees can watch the masterpieces unfold, win the finished artworks, and support a meaningful cause—all while experiencing the energy and passion of live art creation. This interactive format not only raises funds for Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts, but also celebrates artistic talent and community involvement.
Featuring live artwork created by Lisa Marie Thalhammer and Maggie O'Neill. Donated framed print by Brandon Hill. Food and Beverage compliments of WALA. Hosted by Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough LLP.
Tickets are $150 per person. The two art winners will be randomly chosen from ticket buyers in attendance. Must be present to win. Additional chances can be purchased on-site, during the event. All proceeds benefit Washington Area Lawyers of the Arts.
Meet the Artists

Lisa Marie Thalhammer is an award-winning visual artist, LGBTQ activist, and the Creative Director of Lisa Marie Studio. Her work often depicts inspirational imagery and harmonious rainbow spectrums, authentically communicating messages of persistence, equity and love. She employs an array of mediums including paper, canvas and mural walls, always with an intention to uplift and empower. Born and raised in the American heartland of St. Louis, Missouri, Lisa Marie studied fine art at the Art Institute of Chicago and University of Kansas before moving to Washington D.C. where she has painted more than a dozen murals including “The LOVE Mural,” which is among the most famous and photographed murals in D.C..

Maggie O’Neill is a creative visionary, artist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience shaping the cultural and design landscape of Washington, D.C. She co-founded SWATCHROOM in 2013, leading the creation of immersive environments for over 80 restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, and commercial spaces. Today, she is committed to designing spaces and creating experiences through art that foster engagement, connection and civic engagement.

Multidisciplinary artist Brandon Hill dissects the notion of heroism in American society in the exhibition, Black Cowboy. An offering of over 25 mixed medium works and sculptures. Hill shows his range with works from two-dimensional acrylic paint on canvas, to portraits, stainless steel and fiber glass sculptures and installation.
